Compassion

I was a teacher assistant at Fairview Elem. while Pat was the principal.  We at Fairview could not have ask for a better  "boss friend"  We had to put my mother in the nursing home  and one day she and I were talking and  she noticed I was quite upset and wanted to go check on my mother (this was during working hours)  and  she smiled at me and told me to  leave and check on her (no clocking out no docking of  pay).  This is what  I mean by "compassion" .  She was wonderful to work  for.   She had  the best smile. Great  person.
