A Father to All

I remember Preston and Susie quite well. Kaye and Dana were classmates as well as neighbors. We also went to church together.I recall one fall rainy night my parents had been fighting profusely and I overheard the word divorce. My father stormed out of the house. It didn't take much adding to figure up that they had to get married.Although my father was a hard worker he wanted his freedom too. With 3 kids to feed and a wife to support that didn't leave much freedom.

That night I lay crying in my bed until around 2:30 am then decided I was the cause of their discontent. If I wasn't around there would be less mouths to feed so I ran away.I found myself knocking on Preston and Susies door.He got out his Bible and explained many things to me that night. Things that a 13 year old should only hear from their family or by those that truely love them.He told me that It wasn't my fault my parents were having problems. That Satan was working in their lives. That God loves all children and makes no mistakes as far as them being born. Most of all He and Susie prayed with me before they took me home. They never told my parents about that night but left it up to me.But for His love and understanding of a desprate little lonely girl, theres no telling what would of happened to me that night.Another angel has been called home now to work with more youth.God gave Preston an exceptional gift and he used it well.Susie,Kaye and Dana my prayers are with you always.
