Condolence: I was looking through the deaths at the FH for someone and found my dear friend Harold. Harold was a friend to many people. A fine public servant and man. May he rest in peace. Deepest sympathy to his wife and family although I just found his death i wanted to let you know that many people appriciated all he did for the people he served.

Condolence: My condolences upon the death of Rufus Harold Bailey. I had the privilege of working with Harold as I knew him when we both worked for the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department under Harry P. Clay at the time. Harold was such a kind person and I enjoyed working with him.

I began working with Harold back in the mid 70's as I was a young Trooper assigned to Madison and Yancey County. Harold was an investigator for District Attorney Clyde Roberts. Harold, David Ingram and myself spent good times together working and off duty. I have always considered Harold a friend. I know Harold has had many years of discomfort and declining health, but today Harold has no pain and is free from all health problems. My heart felt sympathy goes out to each of you during this difficult time. May God bless each of you and give you comfort as only he can.
