Karen Devery, my son - James Devery, my daughter - Carly Devery & my son-in-law Desmond Hsu
My Uncle Robert was a wonderful man that was married to my Aunt Hattie Jarrett. He was good to her and made her happy and well loved. In the last few years, my Uncle Robert and I had become close after years of not having contact. I was so pleased to have made a close connection with him. I am saddened to have not been able to visit with him in person during these last years. Distance and health was most of the problem. My daughter, Carly and her husband Desmond were in North Carolina for a wedding and went to see my Grandmothers, Minni Jarrett, old home when Robert and Rosetta drove up while they were looking around the outside of the home. I was so glad that Carly and Desmond were able to make a lasting and memorial meeting with Robert. They sent time with Robert and Rosetta over the last few days they were in North Carolina. My son, James spoke with Robert by phone a few times which he felt was very good to have a connection with family for him. As time goes by, our family is growing smaller and smaller. For my adult children, having their Great-Uncle Robert in their life\'s the last few years has been wonderful and enriching. My Uncle Robert made all of our lives fuller the last few years. I am glad that we reconnected, even if it was by phone only for my son and myself. My life is richer for the time we had visiting by phone. He will be very missed in our lives and we are all much richer by becoming closer. My Our Heavenly Father take good care of him and he re-unite with my Aunt Hattie. My the Lord love and look over him now and forever. Love and miss you Uncle Robert....
