Obituary for Stephen Giordano
Stephen Giordano, 66, of Mars Hill, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016. He was the son of the late Angelo and Grace Giordano. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Jason Michael Giordano. Mr. Giordano was a US Navy Veteran and a retired police sergeant in Suffolk County, NY.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann McAleavey Giordano; daughter, Erin Maureen Barrett and husband Charles Patrick; sister, Dolores D’Anna; grandchildren, Henry Patterson, Tucker Baines; several brothers, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 10–11am Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel with military honors.
The family has requested memorials made to Care Partners Foundation in Stephen Giordano’s memory; PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
