Obituary for Shirley Louise Wilde (Roberts)

Shirley Roberts Wilde, of Castlewood Drive, went to be with Jesus on July 27, 2016, at John F. Keever Solace Center. She was a native of Madison County, having lived in Buncombe County for the past 20 years. Mrs. Wilde was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Kate Beasley Roberts. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Richard Wilde; father-in-law, Abner Wilde; and brother-in-law, William Wilde.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Wilde and wife Tracy, granddaughters, Jocelynn and Lynnsey Wilde, all of the home; son, Greg Wilde and wife Gina of Knoxville, TN; granddaughters, Jylian Wilde of Garner, NC, and Adrionna Wilde of Pekin, IL; step-granddaughter, Anna McClure of Hendersonville, TN; sisters, Betty Shelton of Lexington, NC and Gail Herd (Bob) of Fort Collins, CO; brothers, Frank Beasley of Lexington, NC, and Dan Beasley (Faye) of Marshall; her very special mother-in-law, Helen Ramsey Wilde of Marshall; sister-in-law, Jeanette Wilde of Mars Hill; brothers-in-law, Gerald Wilde (Darla) of MI, and Wendal Wilde (Barbara) of Newport, TN, and Charles Wilde of Asheville; and many nieces and nephews and large extended family.
A funeral service will be held at 3pm Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Gerald Sprinkle will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ramsey Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Mrs. Wilde will be remembered by her strength, courage and faith, mostly her love of family.
