To all of James Proffitt friends and family: I have known James for only 17 years after he met my sister Judy. It was easy to see that James was a good man, hard worker, loved to make people laugh, loved Duke basketball, and loved life. At 64 years old James' body had grown tired and needed to rest. On April 14, 2016 Jesus wanted James to come home with him to a wonderful place called heaven. Here there would be no more insulin shots to take, no more medicine to take, and not eating the foods he shouldn't. I will always miss James, but I do have memories of the times he spend with me and my family. Love, Cindy Autry
