Obituary for Boyd William Holcombe
Boyd William Holcombe, 76 of 65 Ramsey Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday February 1, 2016. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Panama. He was born on March 30, 1939 to the late Garrett and Mamie Holcombe (Gaddy). In addition to his parents he is also proceeded in death by his twin brother Boyce, brothers David, Carl, Everett, Tommy, and Freddie.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Holcombe (Worley) of 53 years, son Randy Holcombe, daughter Tracy Rathbone (Holcombe) and son-in-law Ronnie Rathbone. Grandchildren Jessica Hicks (Holcombe), Miranda Parrish (Holcombe), Austin Turner, and Morgan Turner. Great grandchildren Lyla and Gunner Hicks. Brother Jimmy Holcombe, sisters Louise Hensley, Eloise Clark, Jennie Lee Brigman, JoAnne Carroll and many special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Friday February 5, 2016 in the chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday February 5, 2016 in the chapel at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Reverends Deddrick Clark and David Brigman will officiate. The burial will be a private immediate family service at the cemetery.
Flowers are appreciated, however donation's can be made to the First Church of God, 20 Hanover Street, Asheville, NC 28806 in memory of Boyd.
