Our mother enjoyed working outside and taking care of the home place. She had a talent to make anything grow and flourish. This included her family which she raised with a firm hand and taught us how to love and show kindness. She shared her love and her wisdom without hesitation. She loved and served the Lord with a faithful heart and gave unwavering support as Daddy preached the gospel. The Lord was her foundation and she was ours.
The funeral service will be held Friday, November 20, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Upper Laurel Baptist Church with Reverends Cline Hensley, Jr. and Kenneth Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 19, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill, NC. At other times the family will be at the residence.
