Obituary for Vera Edwards (Sprinkle)

Vera Sprinkle Edwards, 97, of Bull Creek Rd, went home Friday, October 9,2015 at Mission Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the daughter of the late Henry Merritt and Zora Edwards Sprinkle. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John Alonzo Edwards, daughter-in-law June Edwards, two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Rex Edwards (Wilma), Harold Dean Edwards, Jerry Edwards (Pat); sister, Helen Hunter ( Alan); five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Monday, October 12, at Old Bull Creek Baptist Church, of which Vera was a faithful member. Reverend Anthony Fox and Brother Eddie Fox will officiate. Burial will follow in the old Bull Creek Baptist Church Cemetery . The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 pm Sunday, October 11, at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
