Frank William  Thomas
Frank William Thomas, 70 of North Main Street, Marshall passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Mission Hospital in Asheville after a period of declining health. He was a native of Madison County and the son of the late Roy and Mae Doan Thomas. A graduate of Walnut High School, class of 1962, he was a retired Magnavox worker and self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janie Plemmons Thomas, two daughters; Patty Thomas of Burnsville, Tonya Snipes of Charlotte, two sons; Frank (Wendy) Thomas Jr., of Conover and Roy Thomas of Asheville, four granddaughters; Amanda Rash, Karissa and Kendall Snipes and Madison Thomas ; three grandsons, Dakota Stafford, Caleb Spencer and Samuel Thomas; two sisters, Barbara (Glen) Shelton , and Joann Frisby both of Walnut, a brother Benny (Anita) Thomas of Athens, TN., several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, June 18, in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Preston Church and Doctor Harry Culbertson, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
