Rosa Lee Angel, age 83,went home to be with the Lord Monday, September 1, 2014 at Mission Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ora Belle Grindstaff Duncan, her husband of 65 years, Johnny Angel, and a brother, Harold Duncan (Mary Lou).
She is survived by her son, Jerry Angel (Carolyn) of Weaverville; a sister, Sue Young (Jerry) of Daytona Beach; a sister-in-law, Hazel Hyer; grandchildren, Angela Shelton (Paul) of Weaverville, Becky Metcalf of Weaverville and Heidi Elsea (Matt) of Weaverville; great grandchildren, Nolan(Krystal) and Alex; and great great grandchildren, Braidon and Mason; and several nieces and nephews.
Rosa Lee was everybody's caregiver, had a heart of gold, a mothering spirit and always a loving neighbor and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM,Friday, September 5th at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverends Kermit Robinson and Roger Boone officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
Flowers are welcomed or donations can be made to Trinity Baptist Church, building fund, 216 Shelbourne Rd., Asheville, NC 28806. The family will be at the home of Jerry Angel, 35 England Woods Dr., Weaverville.
