Obituary for Carroll Davis

Carroll  Davis
Carroll Davis, age 66, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville. He was the son of the late Collis and Topsy Arrington Davis. Carroll was a soft spoken man who was slow to anger and quick to forgive and was known for his kind and gentle nature. He was a friend to everyone. Mr. Davis was a member of Beech Glenn Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Silverline Plastics in 2013. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters, Betty Jean Mathis and Doris Caldwell.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jane McIntosh Davis; two sons, Steven Davis (Asheley) of Mars Hill and Stuart Davis of Weaverville; three sisters, Geneva Massey (Charles) of Marshall, Nevada Roberts of Marshall and Gail Cutshall (Brownlow) of Newberry, SC; one brother Jerry Davis of Alexander, NC; and granddaughter Sara Marie Davis, who he adored, two sisters-in-law, Shirley McIntosh of Black Mountain and Eva McIntosh of the home. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, August 15th, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverends Dennis Anderson, Stanley Peek and Ken Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will take place Saturday, 11:00 AM at Anderson Cemetery, Walker Branch Road, with Mars Hill VFW Post 5483 conducting graveside rites.
