Obituary for Willie Lee Anderson

Willie Lee Anderson, 88, went to walk the streets of gold with Jesus Monday, May 8, 2017. He was the son of the late Kelse and Nellie Rathburn Anderson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Honeycutt and Sylvia Metcalf, and brothers, Earl, and James Anderson.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Naomi Shepherd Anderson; daughter, Pamela DeVern (Eric); son, Gregory Anderson (Elke); sister, Hazel Robinson; brother, Phil Anderson (Betty); grandchildren, Sabrina Hess, Jeremy DeVern, Britini Ipox, Seth Murray, Tiffany Rosseter, Mitchell Anderson, Maegan Gaboury and Trenton Anderson, six great granddaughters, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Willie retired from Sayles Biltmore Bleachers after 35 years of service and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm Thursday, May 11, 2017 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel at Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A funeral will be held at 3:00 pm with Reverends Randy Sprinkle and Ronnie Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Chambers Cemetery with military honors.
