Loreeta “Rita” Abney Shelton, 70, of Graphic Lane, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Mission Hospitals Memorial Campus. She was the daughter of the late Eligah and Julia King Abney. Ms. Shelton was a retired employee of Square D Manufacturing.
She is survived by a daughter Tonya Hampton (Robby); sons, Andy Shelton (Chrystal), Gene “Arnie” Shelton, Jr. (Crystal); brother, Anthony Abney (Darlene); five grandchildren, Cameron, Ali, Carter, Mykena, Tyler and great grandchild, Miles.
A funeral service will be held 3:00PM Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverend Keith Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends 2:00 -3:00PM prior to the service.
