Thomas “Tom” Jason Fairchild, 101, passed away at his home Friday, February 3, 2017. He was the son of the late Robert and Amanda Smith Fairchild. Mr. Fairchild was a native of Yancey County but has lived in Madison County most of his life.
He is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with Rev. Ronnie Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Middle Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
