Obituary for Wanda Maxine England (Chaffin)

Wanda Maxine Chaffin England

Gone from our sight, but never from our heart, Maxine England passed peacefully at her home from this life to be with her Lord, surrounded by family and loved ones on October 18, 2016. Born on April 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Myrtie Wilson Chaffin of Palestine, Texas. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Harold England, sister Christine Temperley, brothers Wallace and Vonzo Chaffin, and a daughter Wanda England.

For many years she served her church and community as a young women's Bible teacher. Always thinking of others before herself, she was a devout and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Her strongest desire was to love and be of help to others which she did completely. Always encouraging and inspiring, she was a great blessing to all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Lee and husband Harold, daughter Janet Pamela England, son Sydney England, and wife Sheila; grandchildren, Dawn McGoldrick and husband Scott, Stacy Barry and husband Dave, Chad Brunet and wife Shayne, Jolie Meaux, Ian Meaux and wife Bethany, Alex England, Daniela Costas, Meghan England-Gonzalez and husband Frank, Patrick England and wife Alisa, Michael England, and Allyson England; great-grandchildren, Caleb Myers and wife Victoria, Justin, Cody and Jacob Myers, Skylee and Talon Barry, Cooper and Finley Brunet, Mae and Evelyn Amdal, Frances Meaux Amdal, and Venture and Xavier Gonzalez. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00pm, Friday, October 21, 2016 at her home, 125 Farm Valley Ct., Weaverville, NC with Bill Newton, pastor, Madison Chapel of Mars Hill sharing. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until 4:00pm.
