Jane McIntosh Davis, of 204 Sunshine Cove Rd, passed away October 5, 2016 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Edna Metcalf McIntosh. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Carroll Davis.
Mrs. Davis is survived by sons, Steven Davis (Asheley) and Stuart Davis (Kelci) and sisters Eva and Shirley McIntosh. Also surviving are the joys of her life, grandchildren Sara Marie Davis and Stellin William Davis, and her special cousin, Iris English.
Jane was a member of Beech Glen Baptist Church, and the Beech Glen Baptist Church Quartet. She graduated from Mars Hill College and Western Carolina University. She taught for 35 years in the Buncombe County School System, including both West Buncombe Elementary and Erwin Middle School. Jane loved all animals, especially her cats and her dog Lilly. She was known for her humorous, optimistic outlook and her contagious smile.
A funeral service will be held 7:00pm Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Stanley Peek and Josh Hughes and Troy Rogers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. The burial will be 4:00pm Sunday, October 9, at Anderson Cemetery.
