Thomas “Tom” Ervin Northup, 83, of 773 Old Dana Road went to be with the Lord Aug 12, 2016. He was the son of the late Shannon Taylor and Bonnie Pearl Spears Northup. Mr. Northup was a member of Fletcher First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Monella Northup; step daughter, Maxie Stanley Alexander (Gilbert); step son, Alan Stanley (Faye); sister, Wilma Hilty; Brother, Junior Northup; grandchildren, Colleen Johnson, Johnny Mullins, Melissa Whaley, Jason Stanley, Lisa Mcoy and Leslie Jackson.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Monday, August 15, 2016 at Fletcher First Baptist Church. Reverend Roy Waldroup will officiate. Burial will follow in the Meadow Gap Cemetery, Mars Hill, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
