Obituary for Rachel Marie Buckner (Hill)
Rachel Hill Buckner, 75, of 204 Moody Cove Road, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016. Mrs. Buckner was the daughter of the late Cecil and Nannie Wright Hill and a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Bradley; and 9 brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Buckner; brothers, Chester and Cecil Hill; grandchildren, David Shannon Bradley (Jennifer) and Gina April Sherdan (Matt); and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, July 20, at Morning View Baptist Church, Reems Creek Road, of which she was a member. Rev. Bill Jenkins and Brother Eddie Fox will officiate. Burial will follow in the Maney Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
