Edith Ellen Revis Thomas, 91, of Brown Town Road, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Brain Center Health and Rehab in Weaverville. She is the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary West Revis. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband Carl Robinson Smith and her recent husband William Ralph Thomas; daughter, Darlene Wilkins; sisters, Geraldine Swann, Martha Franklin and brother Bud Revis.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Ellen Mears (Charles), Peggy Presnell (Frank); son, Ernest Smith; sister, Rebecca McLaughlin (Emory); brothers, Paul Revis (Barbara), Van and Doyce Revis. Mrs. Thomas was cherished and loved by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend William Lance will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
