Obituary for William Hershel Bradley

William “Hershel” Bradley, 78 of 3790 Grapevine Road went to be with the Love of his life, Hazel Ramsey Bradley and his Savior Jesus Christ on Friday July 1, 2016. He was a native of Madison County and preceded in death by his father and mother Bill and Blanche Sams Bradley and infant son, Eddie Dewayne Bradley. He attended and loved Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and retired from the NC Dept. of Corrections in 2000.
Mr. Bradley is survived by his sons, Robert Bradley (Kim) and Tommy Bradley (Laura); daughters, Sheila Young, Melissa Allison, Monica Hall (Roddrick) and Leanne Briggs (Stephen); grandchildren, Robert Bradley, Jr. (Josie) Kristin Davis (Jason), Sierra Music (J.C.), Madison Bradley, Stacy Honeycutt (Molly), Casey Honeycutt (Becky) Megan Briggs and Mayson Briggs (Karista); great grandchildren, Rawleigh, Lyric and Qyairus Hall and Lily, Lainy and Lydia Bradley; brother, Ralph Bradley; sisters, Eileen Israel (Bud), Betty Lou Clark (Garrell), Shirley Caldwell (Butch) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 4, 2015 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Phillip Parker, Ken Parker and Robert Bradley, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bradley Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Sunday evening.
