Obituary for Clyde M McKinney

Clyde M  McKinney
Clyde McKinney, 94, of 510 Sprinkle Creek Road, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016, at his residence. Mr. McKinney was the son of the late Robert and Minnie Thomas McKinney and was a lifelong resident of Madison County. He was a member and deacon for many years at Little Ivy Missionary Baptist Church and a US Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hensley McKinney; sisters, Irene Cody (Walter), Aileen Jamerson (Kermit), and Shirley Dean; brothers, Carlie (Marilynn), Boyd (Ida Lee), and Ralph McKinney; son-in-law, Johnny Blankenship; brother-in-law, Charles Marlowe.
Mr. McKinney is survived by daughters, Ann Blankenship and Gail Carroll (Kevin); son, Harold McKinney (Joyce); sister, Alma Marlowe, sister-in-law, Barbara McKinney; grandson, Jason McKinney (Jennifer); and great-grandchildren, Tucker and Chastity McKinney; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Justin English and Rotha Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in Little Ivy Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
