Betty Lee Metcalf, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Elderberry Health Care. Betty was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church and retired from Microswitch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Henry and Bertha Hensley Flasher, son, Roger Dale, sisters, Bonada Ogle and Mary Ellen Hunt, brothers, Emet, Marvin and Billy Flasher and grandson, Michael Dean Metcalf, Jr.
Surviving are her sons, Michael Metcalf (Wanda), John Robert, Jr. (Rosie), eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at Elderberry Health Care for the many years of love and care given to our mother and grandmother.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2016 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel at Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Rev. Danny Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Clark Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
