Carrie Stevens Riddle, 90, of Foster Creek Road, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Ike and Bertha Whitson Stevens. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Woodard Riddle, sister; Erma, brothers; Lloyd, Floyd and Willard Stevens.
She is survived by her daughters; Onnie Roberts (Roger), Wanda English (Larry); sons, Jerry Riddle (Alvania), Dennis Riddle (Pam), Roy Riddle (Sandra), Wayne Riddle (Lorraine), sisters; Lois Blankenship, Tilda Letterman, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 18, at Laurelton Chapel Baptist Church. Reverends Dr. Harry Culbertson Jr., Jake Fender and Cline Hensley, will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday, April 17, at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
