Obituary for Less Ernest Burnette

Less Ernest Burnette, 67, of 4175 Puncheon Fork Road, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Burnette was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the son of the late Wayne and Lois English Burnette. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was a self-employed grading contractor.
Mr. Burnette is survived by a sister, Glenna Burnette Collins of the home; 2 brothers, Victor Wayne “Bill” Burnette, of the home, and James “Bo” Burnette (Margaret) of Mars Hill; a niece, Stephanie Burnette of Mars Hill; and a nephew, James Burnette (Tonya) of Mars Hill.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The Reverends ‘ J.D. Deyton and Harold Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Upper English Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
