Bill Arndt, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away Thursday September 11, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bill, a resident of the Grapevine community in Marshall NC, was born in Freeport Il. February 5, 1960 to the late Bill and Bonnie Arndt. His family moved to the area in 1973. He was employed by Meritor in Fletcher NC for close to 20 years. Bill was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill and Brenda enjoyed going to the lake, boating and spending time with their lake friends. From photography to the freezer, Bill enjoyed every aspect of wildlife. He deeply loved his partner in crime Maximus Theodore Arndt (Mans best friend).
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Brenda Kent Arndt; son William Arndt Jr. (Erica); daughters Jessica Cole (Chad) and Jennifer Arndt (Bobby); and 7 grandchildren; Natalie Cole, Tessa Arndt, Marleigh Cole, Sydney Arndt, Maleigha Norton, Malakhi Arndt, and Cooper Cole. He is also survived by sister, Leslie Cox (Michael); brother Jeff Arndt (Teresa); and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, September 17 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Kevin Edwards and Danny Jenkins will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm, Tuesday, September 16 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
