Obituary for Sallie Frisbee (Sams)

Sallie Sams Frisbee, 89, of 242 Frisbee Cove Road, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, August 24, 2014. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Altha Barnes Sams. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frisbee was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. She was a homemaker and longtime member of Teague’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Woodrow V. Frisbee; son Ronnie (Carolyn) of Leicester; daughter, Judy Holliday (Tony) of Marshall; 2 grandchildren, Kimberly Sutton and Jason Frisbee both of Marshall; 2 great grandchildren, James and Hannah Frisbee, both of Marshall; and her little, loving dog, Kibbles, who was always right with her.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Teague’s Chapel United
Methodist Church. Rev. Wyllene Skipper will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorials are requested to be made to Hospice of Madison County, PO Box 69, Marshall, NC 28753. The family would like to express thanks to Hospice and all their friends and neighbors who have helped thru out Mrs. Frisbee’s illness. God Bless each one of you.
