John Willis Gentry, 69, of 161 Longs Chapel Rd., passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at his residence. He was a son of the late Erskine and Irene Lance Gentry. He was retired from the woodworking business and was a member of Freeman Gap Baptist Church. He was a wonderful Husband, Dad and Brother.
Surviving are his wife Mary Gentry of the home, son, Glenn Gentry (Katrina) of Bristol, VA., sisters; Mildred Barnwell, Jeanette Grooms, Joyce Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Black, brothers; Tate Gentry and David Gentry Sr. and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 8, 2014 at Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. His Brother Tate Gentry will conduct the graveside service. The family will receive friends following the service at the home.
