Paul Cornelous Robinson, 87, of 17 Delta Loop passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Mission Hospital. He was born in Yancey County to the late Ernest and Georgia McLaughlin Robinson. He was also preceded in death by a son Ernest Dean Robinson, sister Athlene Burleson, brothers; Hiram, Leonard, James and Clyde Robinson. Paul was an US Army veteran and had worked in the furniture industry.
Surviving are his wife Grace Teague Robinson, daughter Linda Collins (Ricky) of Barnardsville and Tammy Bass (Carl) Weaverville,son Ted David Meadows of Fairview, sisters; Judy Farmer, Jessie Buckner and Robbie Lee Farmer, brother Kermit Robinson, grandchildren; Chris and Erni Robinson, Lindsay, Zachary and Brayson Collins, Ashley Carr, Paul Bass and Heather Wheeler, thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at WNC State Veterans Cemetery Chapel. Rev. Kermit Robinson will officiate. Mars Hill VFW post 5483 will conduct graveside services. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
