Clyde B. Flowers, Sr., “Buddy”, 81, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Pardee Memorial Hospital in Hendersonville.
A native of Asheville, he was born to Elijah and Ada McFarland Flowers. He is preceded in death by a son, Larry Flowers.
Buddy was a member of Asheville Speedway.
He is survived by his wife, Delila Edmonds Flowers; two sons, Clyde Flowers, Jr and his wife Teresa of Leicester and Ronnie Flowers and his wife Susie of Enka; three daughters Dorothy Morrow and her husband Billy of Hendersonville, Darlene Largent of Hendersonville and Donna Lusk and her husband Wesley of South Carolina; one sister, Barbara Andrade of Texas; a nephew, Alvin Shelton, III and his wife Elaine, 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many other friends and relatives.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, April 27 at 3:00 PM at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel at Blue Ridge Funeral Service in Mars Hill. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Hillgirt Cemetery in Fletcher.
