Condolence: Family of Rev. Eugene Dodd: We were very saddened to hear about Eugene passing away. He was a great man of God.Our parents thought the world of Eugene, as we all did. Please know that you all are in our prayers!

Condolence: So very to hear of the passing of Eugene He was a great man of God so sorry i didnt know i would of been at funeral. He was always visting nursing homes an the sick everytime i saw him he would say hey cuz!! Him an my dad were great friends an cousins my dad has been gone since 1980 so they are singing in Heaven! What a small world - for years my daddy was friends with the Dodd family - Eugene and Forrest I remember from my childhood times - wow ! ! * Precious, Godly family and friends to us. My daddy passed away in 2005 - they are now together in our precious Heaven. My mom: Nora fondly remembers ! !

Condolence: For years my daddy and momma were friends with the Dodd family. My daddy, Leland Jones, Jr. would have been with you all today, if he was not in heaven. When mom and I saw the funeral notice, our hearts were saddened, here in Asheville - but we know the Dodd family to be Lovers of our Jesus - and that you all have comfort in knowing that Eugene is with his Maker ! ! We are sorry. As a girl, years ago, I keenly remember Eugene, Forrest and their sweet spirits. We still live in the same house - in E. Asheville - the Dodd's are always welcome to visit. Mom (NORA) is 84 ! !

I will always remember the smile on his face every time I saw him. I will miss your calls and the visits from you and Forrest. Heaven has gained another angel. Condolence: Eugene was my best friend in Christ. He led me to the Lord in 1989. I have know him since I was just a small child. I considered him part of my family. To his family , my heart breaks for each one. I know were he is and that he is one happy man but life will not be the same without Gene. Every time I came to NC I tried to attend church. I loved to hear him preach and he always was happy to see me. I love you Gene and it was to early to say goodbye. I will miss you but will see you in the future, praising God together.

Condolence: My prayers go out to all of the family and friends that will be missing Gene. I know he is in heaven now because my mother helped lead him to the Lord a long time ago. He was a great friend to both her and my dad. He was a great preacher also. We used to go to his church when I was a child. The world lost a wonderful man, but Heaven gained one!

Condolence: Matthew 5:4 says "blessed are those who mourn: for they shall be comforted." There is nothing that can be said to comfort Eugene's family, but God can. In a time liek this He is the only one that we can lean on. Eugene was a remarkable Pastor and friend. He always had a smile on his face and he was always there for everyone. When my Papa Joe died he was such a help to my family. It seemed liek he always knew the right things to say and do in all situations.....even if it was just to sit on the phone and listen to you cry. He did that for me.When we we started going to Gospel Tabernacle he always made us feel welcome and not just him the entire church. He never failed to talk to everyone and shake hands. He stood for God and what was right and I am so glad he never waivered from that in his preaching. It didn't matter who was there he was going to preach God's word the way the Bible said. He did so much for his congregation and never expected anything in return. I know that his family has suffered a huge hit to the heart and soul. And that nothing in this world will help. But remember you will only be away from Eugene for a short time and you will see him again in Glory. I love you all, and I love you Eugene, and will be praying for each of you.
